Seahawks win - Play in Leavenworth - Skiing at Mission Ridge

Why hello there! It's been a bit since I last wrote, and I apologize for that. I came down with something when I came home from Snowbird, which really zapped my energy. I have been feeling like myself again these past couple of days.

Congratulations to the Seahawks for winning Superbowl 60! It was a great game! Normally, we would have gone to a watch party over at Bob's house, but whatever got me, I didn't feel like sharing, so Catherine and I stayed home to watch the game, and what a game it was! By Wednesday, I was feeling well enough to head downtown to watch the celebration parade with Alex at his office on the 13th floor of the Westlake Center. So I rode my bike down on an absolutely stunning day. I have heard that estimates put the number of people who went downtown to see the parade at 700,000. I was on the street for a bit, and it was absolutely slammed! It was nice to relax in Alex's office to watch the parade and get a sense of the space he works in. The thing that struck me is just how many youngins' there are working there 😄

After the parade, I went to the Library to read while I waited for my Metabolic class, which started in the evening. My friends Jenn and Sara reached out to me as they were downtown as well, so I left the library and met up with them at Vonn's for a while.

On the topic of the Metabolic class. My weight is down 40 pounds since October, and as part of that, my Dr has referred me to the metabolic class to help me better understand metabolism and how the body functions with the different types of food. So far, that is going pretty well, and I am more aware of my eating.

After the class, I rode my bike over to eastlake to have dinner with Curt and catch up wtih him.

That following weekend, Catherine and I drove over to Leavenworth to see the play Ms Holmes and Ms Watson Apt 2b, which I rather enjoyed. We arrived a bit early, so we had a very pleasent afternoon walking around Leavenworth for dinner. It was late when we left, so we stopped and slept at the condo at Snoqualmie pass on the way home, and then had a very pleasent Sunday.

This past Thursday I went back over to East Whenatchee to meet up with our neightbors across the street and hang out with them, and spent Friday snowboarding at Mission Ridge. The coverage was thin, but it was worth the trip. I had a good time hanging out with Ben and Natalie, and playing with Remy.

This coming week will be doing the final preparations for Corvo's haul out and bottom job, and I will move the boat to the boat yard on Sunday.

Hope all is well with everyone

Love ya

I found this tile, called a "Spectre" which will tile a plane aperidoically (meaning the pattern never repeats) and so have printed up some of these for folks to play with at Soup night.

The group watching the parade
Best shot of the trophy. There was no way I was going to be able to see it that well from the street 😄
An absolutely georgeous afternoon and evening in Leavenworth

This is the hill in front of the Condo. In the past all of the bushes that you see on this hill are completely covered with snow. The area has shut down except for summit west.
I went on a nice bike ride on Tuesday and had this great view of the rebuilding that is taking place of the park along the water.
