5 abilities - will I act?

I came across this article this morning while I was going through my RSS feed, and it has really resonated with me. So much so, that I am going to work on gentling changing the course of my life to focus on these five "abilities".

  • The ability to Absorb
    • I currently read a bunch of stuff, but I don't know if I absorb it. Then there are the experiences - how do I make sure that I am absorbing my experiences?
  • The ability to Respond
    • To feel what it is that I am absorbing - to embrace it.
  • The ability to Reflect
    • I have a habit of morning journalling, but I think I want to add the evening reflection as well. As well as redevelop the discipline of weekly, monthly and yearly reflection. I've fallen off of that wagon.
  • The ability to Act
    • Strike while the iron is hot
  • The ability to Share
    • Will I act to create a mechanism to share - I have the foundations of this in place, I need to expand on it.

So this post represents an attempt to absorb that article, and respond to it by reflecting on it and acting on it by sharing it.

I'll add to my daily routine a five minute reflection of the day, and change my daily journaling template to reflect that. and revisit this articl in a month.
